    Correct, 60 years is a short period of time when it comes to geological time.

    So why then, have temperatures, which remained relatively stable for at least 2000 years prior suddenly shoot up at the start of the 1900's? coincidently as more CO2 was added to our atmosphere?

    And whilst solar activity and temperature were correlated at the beginning of the 20th century, they diverged around 1960. So solar output fell, and temperatures kept rising!
