    I take it you didn't click my link. If you'd done so, you'd have found out that "David" was an employee of Hadley's who, while he did happen to live near Flannery, was brought into the studio and given a script to read. You'd also see Flannery himself saying that his house sits well above even the most extreme predictions for sea levels in the coming century - which is really all he's going to be personally worried about.

    The claims of predictions of massive sea level rise are quite obviously garbled interpretations of discussions of the amount of ice locked up in the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets. If both were to completely melt sea levels would rise roughly 70 metres - but as far as I'm aware nobody (and certainly not Flannery) is saying that could occur in anything less than a few thousand years.

    Basically, you've uncritically swallowed a patently absurd line of attack simply because it happened to fit your prejudices. So... well done, I guess.
