Indeed. The "horizontal waterfall" near Derby, WA, comes to mind. An awesome amount of force and energy in that tide as it goes in & out...beats me why no one has yet tried to harness it.
Those not familiar with it might find it interesting to Google "Horizontal Waterfall"...........an impressive display of forces generated by nature..
