interesting how a discussion on population, world wide population that is, is avoided by both the right and left of politics
the right don't want to take on their religious and corporate bases, while the left see it as a proxy for racism (owing to the greatest population growth being in 3rd world countries)
personally, I see curbs in (per capita) greenhouse gas production being counteracted by population increase, so unless that issue is addressed, we're missing the great big elephant in the room
