quite evident that cyclones have not increased. its flooding rains that have increased in frequency, and intensity. more damage being done with faster rising floods. also much more intense hot air, like a Liberal Party meeting, and more deadly to crops, animals and people.
I cant't read the Aus. I decline, but I doubt the decreasing incidence of cyclones over the long time frame as claimed.
also the primary reference here is making landfall. the cyclones reported last season were mostly offshore and lasting much longer than previous records show and of increased intensity.
