Socrates warned that the average pleb was easy to lead astray by charlatans. Take Flannery who was no better than the primary school dropout. He made up all sorts of weird predictions and fell flat on his face.

Yet the charlatans (eg the ABC) still trot him out as if he is some sort of expert.
