This is exactly what I have been saying to friends and work colleagues.. It's not CO2 that is the issue with global warming, but it's the colossal amount of thermal energy that humans create. Most of that energy is released to the atmosphere as water vapour.
Going carbon neutral by way of CO2 sequestration or planting trees will not save the planet. There has to be more energy taken from wind and waves.
solar panels also contribute to global warming as they absorb more heat from the sun than would otherwise be absorbed. Panels are now so good at absorbing heat they pick up 300Watts per square meter. It's a tragic state of affairs when National Governments think solar is saving the planet by absorbing heat from the sun, but CO2 is bad because it reduces emissivity (in order words absorbs more heat) of heat from the planet.
It's not carbon neutral energy solutions we need, it's entropy neutral solutions that are required.
More batteries and wind and much less waste of energy is the answer.
