Just out of interest there was a comment made this morning that 40 C would be likely to be reached at Bourke this weekend.
The hottest temperature ever recorded in September.
Having not yet succumbed to Alzheimers we can recall temps of 40 in September and we are situated on the North Coast of NSW where it is supposed to be more tempered.
Digging out the BOM's publication of 1972 (which we are guarding with our lives because temps recorded have not be "homogenised" or altered in any way.) we find a temp of 102 degree Fahrenheit recorded at Tabbimobile in September. A location very close to the coast. This site has also recorded 116 degree Fahrenheit temp in February.
    Lies,lies and more lies.
    Who can you trust anymore?
