Image how much OPEX CXO would save by using electrical power... and investing in Lithium Ion technology.

Imagine how much credibility (read "social license") they would score from you know... being green. Implementing 21st century lithium based technology. Those sorts of things.

    Radical concepts I know.

The Vid. I am not sure why they take the rocks downhill.

Also some good points here about light mining vehicles of which there are quite a few in Australia

    Excavator? I hear you call?

Again, the Europeans lead the way. I do wonder what sort of equipment those pesky European lithium miners use?

    Think about this number crunchers.

Assuming a fictitious fleet like this :

    4 x Trucks @ 650MW
    2 x Excavators @ 300 MW
    6 x Light duty trucks @ 100KW
    1 x Cybertruck @ 150KW (for Charlotte's beer missions to Darwin River)

That equals about 3,950 MW of lithium goodness right there.

Add a Tesla MegaPack or two for good measure to help run the DMS circuits.

In the software startup industry there is the concept of 'eating your own dog food'. It's a kind of vertical integration that proves you have faith in your product. And you then use that integration to expand the product's design.

Can you imagine SB and GE, at the 'shovel ready' ceremony with MG, PK proudly stating how much lithium technology they are investing in, by offsetting the diesel they would have used, so they can save the planet by generating lithium produced lithium?

    Me neither.

I cant be bothered to do the sums right now, but that amount of lithium equivalent in your CAPEX/OPEX batteries can be calculated. And a wise man would laud it.

As it stands though, the amount of lithium technology actively deployed in this mine will probably be a big fat zero.

I have said before: Imagine CXO was a tech energy development company that just happened to also ethically mine lithium from within their estate, while running that side as much as possible on state of the art EV mining technology.

I would completely support that proposition.

Sadly CXO and the proposed quarry are nothing like that.

    One more thing...

As for my "fondness" of ER, you have no idea who or what you are talking about.

I have no fondness for ER, but in many ways a lot of those people (despite their actions) show a lot more moral fibre, and intellectual fortitude, than many of the denizens of the bourse.

You can paint me whatever (hate generating) colour you want.
