Dr Roy Spencer does not have a good reputation as far as his knowledge of climate science goes. If you read the above, don't rely on everything (anything) written by Dr Spencer to be the case, and read a lot more widely - preferably actual science papers or reputable popular science sites.

For those interested in learning about climate models, here is more information from scientists who develop and use climate models. (It might be a bit advanced for those who have never studied science, but most people who read this forum presumably have an interest in science and therefore should be fine with the level of discussion.)
