    billy, certainly there are holes, but as mentioned there are other forces revealing themselves that may answer some of the questions.
    Whilst the cycles identified so far may be accurately measureable over time, there is no guarantee the magnitude of the forces they exert at any point of the cycle is going to be faithfully repeated. For example, we all know the exact days the equinoxes and the solstices fall on, but have little idea in advance as what the weather conditions may be at that specific time, and as you know, they can vary somewhat.
    Likewise they made mention of how a non-linear response of the climate could strengthen the theory behind one cycle. We see non-linear responses all the time. As another example, the rate of change in hours of daylight being at a minimum at each solstice and a maximum at each equinox.
    This is never going to be a science where all is exactly accounted for. It's like taking a winding road. Even if at times you seem to be heading off in a different direction, it still ends up at the desired destination.
    That is why the AGW theory seems to me to be far too simple to actually be something that occurs in the real world.
