Palmer is certainly rough around the edges but we desperately need people like him in the political system to make the others who are doing such a poor job to sit up and take notice and hopefully look at what they are doing or not doing.

Palmer will flame and burn but in the meantime he will arouse some necessary discussion.

FACT -------- The Asians are buying Australia

The governments is encouraging them to do so, the FIRB web site states:- It is the Government's policy that foreign investment in Residential Real Estate should increase Australia's housing stock. That is, the policy seeks to channel foreign investment in the housing sector into activity that directly increases the supply of new housing (such as new developments of house and land, home units and townhouses) and brings benefits to the local building industry and its suppliers.

This includes existing housing as it is too difficult to separate the two and Australia needs the Foreign Investment, when you include the mining which is now mostly owned by foreigners and farms and agricultural land which are fast being disposed of he has a valid point to complain about so I hope that he continues to high-light the the current political failures

The government knows that the mining industry is slowing down and they need the income from somewhere else to pay their bills, they are not concerned that they are giving the sovereignty of the country away for nothing
