Clive Palmer has experience in the oil and gas industry including the "successful negotiation of a A$5.0 billion gas supply agreement with the North West Shelf Gas Partners" in 2000.
Mineralogy also owns Kingsway Oil in the Canning Basin and Palmer Petroleum in the Gulf of Papua.
Therefore don't assume that Clive Palmer is only after CTP's coal. He is after assets that are undervalued by the market and he has Chinese companies willing to support his acquisitions at the right price.
