You can forget the DD. These new "lucky to be there" Senators are not going to vote themselves out of a job in the first month. Their odds on being re-elected would be small at best, but negligible if they force a DD. To be re-elected in six years time they would need to have acted responsibility in the senate. They will not be able to rely on a party ticket.
And who knows if the PUP senators will caucus and vote as a team, if their decision will always be Clive's, or whether they will really vote as independents. Only time will tell. I doubt Clive will have the leverage he thinks he will have.
