Palmer was impressive. He obviously didn't get where he has by luck. Swan wants to shut people like this up. Simpler than trying to debate him.
A good point Palmer made was re adding value in the eastern states to mineral resources, so exporting for $1000/t instead of $100. That would be a smarter way of spreading the mining success than another tax.
