My mother in law a few days later grabbed me when I came in one afternoon. She pointed calmly at the number recall device next to the phone.(records the phone number of callers).
I looked but didnt see. What? I said. I had a phone call a couple of hours ago, but no one was there. The number on the recall device is our number.

She said the same thing happened 20 years earlier a few days after their son had died. the phone call, they didnt have the device back then.
