Tenders were called and 19 submissions[ local and overseas] were received. Current Queensland budget allocation is $3.8 million. An eveluation of the tenders is being attended to and a decision is some months away.

Martin Ferguson would be taking an interest in this proposal from the renewal energy angle.

Both State and Commonwealth officials would have accompanied him to Cloncurry.
