    Thanks, after a brief glance looks to be the unedited version. Although if all the violence was removed you would lose 40% of the book in my estimation.

    I was struck by the unrelenting fighting and casual killing of one another that took place it exceeded even my own somewhat jaded expectations. Buckley himself grew tired of it and at one stage decided to live alone, away from the tribe. He was greatly depressed by the constant killing and at times eating of one another.

    At one point Buckley made a weir out of reeds to trap fish that were very abundant, the natives thought it was great but never made their own however.

    A truly unique insight into Aboriginal life as it was. Colonisation certainly has done a lot of good in my view as now the innocents are spared and not put to the spear.
