How true is that Stockwhizben! I have never geared my shares...just been accumulating them for 10 years. I sold half back in August when the US fed raised rates by 50 points, but then foolishly used half of that cash to get back in over the last 2 months. Have quickly seen the injected profits dwindling...makes me feel sick, but I really feel sorry for those who were geared and have lost all of their hard-earned from the bull run.
These are hard times but lessons well learnt. I plan on being in the game for at least another 40+ years, so I'll put it down to experience...what else can we do.
