don't blame this on "greedy" banks. they're stuck like many others.
problem is a world built on credit is having a real hard time adjusting to the new reality of little or no credit.
anyone faced with margin calls should take their losses rather than stumping up more hard earned. long positions now cost 9%pa to carry.
