Hi Aldo, it was taken using a Canon MP-E65mm lens at f11. That lens consists of a reversed 65mm lens on a sort of adjustable extension tube. The lens doesn't focus to infinity it goes from 1X magnification to 5X. Even though the aperture says f11 in reality due to the effect of magnification if I had the lens set on 2X magnification f11 would be closer to f32 so diffraction can be a big issue, also the depth of field is very thin. It is focussed by moving the set up back and forth and always using flash with a modified reflector diffuser.
I also have a website which is www.trevormurrayphotography.com which has a range of predominantly nature subject matter. Thanks for the question Trevor
