Somebody put weed-killer on the green shoots but they grew back yesterday.

Lots of things happening today in the US of A:
- Goldman Sachs and Intel reporting results
- Retail sales data
- Producer prices
- Crude oil inventories

Lot of room for results to disappoint but at least one of them should fertilise the green shoots (surely). In the end it will be up to investors to decide which news to listen to and which news to ignore.

Price of metals is up, gold's up and oil is up too if only timidly. Tells me people are betting on the green shoots.
