I agree that the offer will likely be rejected.
But to answer your second comment "Which begs the question why make the offer "
May I venture that there is a possible motive on behalf of MB that we have not recognised.
I assume for the purpose of discussion that the offer is (say 25 cents). now that will automatically change the market price of the shares to 25 cents. (or thereabouts) an increase on today's price of 51%. (approx)
Now if as is anticipated, CTP may have to do a cap raising and say they want to get $10mil then had they done that at say 15 cents then that would mean 66. 7 million shares to be issued .
However if they do a CR at say 22 cents then only 45.5 million shares are issued.
So the benefits of a offer by MB is that it
1) sends the SP higher
2) allows less shares to be issued,
3 ) creates a greater awareness that CTP is in play.
Now that may not be MB reasons, but it may well be the consequence.
So I am as happy as a pig in poo.
