Yes GZ, I have no doubts the majority of people are lovely. And that could be the same for any refugee who comes here.

I can't speak for everyone, but i think the argument for most is based on refugees paying their way and jumping queues.

The government has a quota of refugees and these people, whether you believe fairly or unfairly, are perceived to queue jumpers. That is the crux of the argument. For me, and many others, it is about the "haves" and "have nots". The "haves" don't want to wait with the other refugees and have the means to pay their way to jump the queue. Meanwhile, the "have nots" just have to keep waiting and waiting, getting pushed further back in the queue.

To a lot of us, it is this unfairness that really annoys us. It is not so much about them being bad people. And i believe I am totally within my rights to think this is unfair. Let's not forget, a lot of these paying refugees are Sri Lankin. Honestly, are they fleeing persecution? If so, do they not have safe countries in close proximity to their country? We are perceived to be an easy target and that is we have seen numbers increase from 1 in 2002 to 17,202 in 2013. I know my argument is not about refugees. IT is about the method in which the system is being exploited.
