I wouldn't call AIO a defensive stock, if you want a defensive stock I will give you a tip! Buy WOW, during economic downturn people will eat out less, cook at home more, supermarket is a good defensive stock. Plus, they still need petrol, and a can of beer.
I am going to buy some more today.
They(AIO) are talking about this bid, and pontenial buyers for their stake. This still can go either way, I centainly hope they can sell part of their business to reduce their debt, if they can that would send the SP to $2 in a hurry. If they can't sell, you will see $0.90 again very soon. nothing is centain in our market these days, but don't get me wrong, AIO is a fantastic stock, but I wouldn't call it a defensive stock, not when they still have $4.5billion of debt.
