This isn't really the forum to discuss the eurozone but I will say this - it's not that simple for Germany to leave the euro zone. I'll say its impossible and destructive to its own country. How do you go about converting all the german bank's euros into a new currency when the German banks hold euro's? The euro would dive and so too would its banks. It would probably have to then bail out its own banks since they hold the crappy devalued euro. What would happen to exports if all of a sudden Germany has a strong new currency? It would be a total mess! Exports would drop and then what would that do to germany's economy? Germany should just give Greece back all the money Greece lent it during the war. It wouldn't solve the current crisis but it certainly would go a long way to helping if you want to call paying back a debt with interest is helping. That amount today with interest would be nearly $100 billion.
