closure of mill

Surely Gunns could have sold off the Alexander mill. The largest employer in the town. Alexandra has been seriously effected by the black Saturday bushfires with Marysville, Buxton & Narbethong proximaty townships. What will become of the region? So Gunns are blaming the Victorian Gov't auction system for securing logs yet they say they will continue their Heyfield mill which is Victorian and under the same system for accessing logs. I would be very sceptical about the longevity of any business operations owned by Gunns.
