I work in the Telco industry.
As alot of smaller multi-site businesses want to get their people and locations online they are looking for hosted servers, centrally managed firewalls, anti-virus and anti-spam, and a central site for access.
The prime example I can think of is Global Switch at Ultimo and Equinex at Mascot where servers are kept for many customers and they purchase access to carrier tails (pipes) on site to get the company and their customers out to the WWW or a private network (cloud).
Security is an issue and usually has strict parameters set about time of access and who can have access, so I guess on a global scale the security need would be huge and that's why TZL have brought this forward.
I can see a situation the the tech would call back to the office and say he is ready to access the room/rack and a command is sent online to change the shape of that little alloy lock.
