If it's anything like the property investors and recent buyers at work, they are the ones who have been saying that it's a really great time to buy.
They are not interested in buying, but it makes them feel better about their own situation, because if they say this, they are affirming to themselves that the bottom wont fall out from here and what they have done is ok, my position is ok etc.
I think this factor will be at work in these polls. The people looking and voting in the polls will be to a large extent people interested in the value of their property. As can be seen by the private sale and clearance stats, considering we are in 'high season' in spring, not many actually interested in buying at the moment.
