Leading the Coalition's questions on notice push is Senator Jane Hume.
Senator Hume has asked 12,773 questions on notice since the Albanese government came to power, significantly more than any other senator.
The next most prolific questioner is Senator Jacqui Lambie, who has asked 2,833.
Senator Hume's questions closely probe the budgets of government departments and agencies, asking for yearly breakdowns of office paper costs, the brand and vintage of champagne consumed at events, and photographs of new kitchen equipment purchased for offices.
Senator Jane Hume has said she stands by her prolific use of the accountability measure.
"The Coalition is not apologising for submitting questions on notice. That's our job," she said.
