Nickel prices and CLQ...from April 2017 to end of March 2018:
Nickel per ton.........$9609 to $ 13,392 +39.4%
CLQ on ASX..AuD ......0.76 to 1.17 +53.9%
One would expect a stronger price move in a spec miner on account of its "optionality" and leverage, and on a yearly basis, that is what we see.
But with month-ends it is hit-or-miss. They often move in the same direction, but not all the time. But since on a year-long basis they are both up strongly; maybe that is all that can be said about it.
