Short holders, when buying to exit positions (cover) on a share price rise, will buy at a loss or give back unrealised profit.
Share price could drift significantly during the construction phase as the end goal is years away. If either nickel/cobalt/scandium prices go higher during that time then CLQ share price could be reflected in such but a fall away in demand for this companies assets could see price drift much lower.
CLQ is a long term game regarding batteries and I speculate scandium could be a winner at some stage in the future too. Not interested in water plant construction and technology because of low profit margins and the tech. is easily replicable and Chinese are good at replicating.
I "invest" if I get in at or near the lowest price before price trends upward. Have to use a weekly or monthly chart for taking those positions. Value investing using technical analysis.
