A rising tide lifts all boats ... the more money poured into CAR-T, NK cells, cell therarpy in general... the better for everyone involved. The CAR-T field has been validated in blood cancers, and now FDA approvals have made it a viable technology for companies to target and invest in.. and spurs more research that in turn further validates and the tide gets even higher.
I believe CHM is onto something very promising, which in theory and in pre-clinical (and now early clinical) results look outstanding. The beauty is that the cohort 2 has completed and they are simply following up these patients... we saw in the first cohort that there is activity and at such low doses, it is working just as you would hope. The patient that showed growth in another region in the brain away from where the original resection had occured is even more encouraging because that almost removes the risk that the stable disease was due to chance... when you can see another tumor continue to grow in the same brain.
So now with a slightly higher dose, and more importantly.. through two modes of administration... will we see a continuation of a very impressive response rate of approx 75% and will we see some partial responses? Am I too ambitious to ask for a complete response? Who knows... but we are less than 6 months from finding out.
Meanwhile, cohort 3 is dosing... and we have two additional sites to open shortly.
Oh and another couple trials to start phase 1 later in the year... pipeline is looking amazing, and has all the tell tale signs that it is another IMU-like company (if not better) in the making.
