E.P.R. is this a clue ?? my grand father Mr Frank Levy from Hamilton Vic use to wright for U.S . papers saying there was oil in Australia long before they found any .He thought the land around Nelson vic which is near Portland looked the same as where he saw oil wells in the US. Any way he formed a Co and drilled a well at Nelson right next to where the Fermat 1 well is. I have on my desk now a photo of a sample taken from that well which shows a large coal/ oil looking core. In those days they could not drill down very far with what they had. The remains of the old drilling rig is still in Nelson to is day. That was Australias 1st go at finding oil. Was it there ?? I do not know but they have found it at Penola also close by ---- all I am say lets hope so and watch very very closely next day or to ---- would not suprise me at all if it a goer. Thanks. Zenith.
