A bit about Bingara.

CRF has messed around at the old Bingara (northern NSW) diamond mines for the last few years. Actually, messed around is a bit unfair. Try as they might they could not find the primary source from which the diamonds in a buried soil (the secondary source) were coming from.

Looking back, some 40 kg of diamonds were found there, in the secondary source, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

So far as I can remember, CFR are still seeking the primary source. It should be a bonanza if they find it.
