Which Java are you using? Both the CMC MarketMaker and IG-Platform are Java applications. I have found that Sun Java uses huge amounts of CPU time. Firefox will only use Sun Java but I.E. will use MS Java (which is now difficult but not impossible to find). MS Java is fast and smooth. I use it for WebIress and IG at the same time with very little CPU use and high speed. Note that you have to select MS Java as the active one in I.E. I don't know about getting MarketMaker to use the right Java. I gave up on CMC years ago.
