I can reduce the damage by trimming my position - but I had no idea that CMC Markets can pull that trick on you. You don't have any contract with them, they can change the parameters on your holding at any time for any reason. They raised my holding cost from about $30/day when I entered the trade, to $500/day, which is unbelievable.
I reiterate - please be careful if you are using CMC Markets, they can severely change your holding parameters without telling you, after you are in a trade.
