    Hi Blam

Great post highlighting an important issue with CFD market makers, and in the past I have had this issue of closing accounts and rising holding costs, you have to always be vigilant and never get yourself too deep in the red, otherwise the CFD sharks like to circle and come in for the kill.

I had to exit out of some of my positions purely because holding costs increased astronomically!!!

Sticking to some of the more liquid instruments may attract less holding costs???, but the costs are essentially arbitrary and no justification on the part of CMC or others

All these factors have to be taken into account on top of being a great trader and beating the market, it is all very difficult and that's why most of the people left using CFDs after 18 months are gamblers or very good traders, but most of them that make it past 18 months are gamblers IMO.

Many give up licking their wounds and go back to regular shares.
