Interesting point paddyboy and it may well be relavent here. But that is not really a valid reason for management withholding news (if indeed it is related). Management & BOD have both an ethical and legal resposibility for continuous disclosure of price-sensitive news (of which news of mining, commissioning and gold production are front and centre).

I don't buy the argument that management should be busy mining and not writing ASX releases. That's fine for a company with several years of steady state operations but it is not sufficient for a junior making the transition from developer to producer ...
