Yep, getting an institutional investor on board will drastically affect the sp, probably representing a sustained upward trend. Only barrier with that will be that a lot of funds will be more selective and often require conditions to be met. For one of them to enter EYE, they would have to show strong growth potential (tick), financial stability and I would say market liquidity (not always though, depends on company).
They could also be waiting for confirmation of sustained growth, rather than just intermittent. Either way these guys are doing a lot of due diligence and won't make decisions quickly. Perhaps we'll have some luck on our side and 1 decides to create an initial position, but the liquidity might cause problems there. In saying that, I own stock in another company with barely any liquidity and 20% or so is owned by institutions, so depends on industry and the company.
I have no doubts it will happen, just a matter of when, not if.
