    It's frustrating because everyone seems to want WPL to acknowledge that FAR are disputing the right the PE through mediation. The AFR acknowledged it the other day.

    However:

    FAR are in dispute with Conoco, not WPL.

    And f you were WPL, from a strategic point of view, would you acknowledge it? They might well believe they 100% have their foot in the door, or they may just be playing a very straight bat.. perception is reality etc. nothing unusual about either scenarios is there? That doesn't mean FAR don't have a case. It means there's a lot of money at stake and either side will play it out to give themselves the best chance of a positive result for them.

    WPL have out in the funds for appraisal drilling and it's business as usual for them. As it should be. The mediation will go on in the background, and either shift to arbitration, a compromise, or a oturight win for either party.
