Hate to burst peoples bubbles on this “we need more copper for electric cars”.

Yep it’s true if the world continues to use 20 year old tech that see’s old batteries running vehicles - low voltage.

I thinks it’s the Tesla cyber truck….maybe rivian that will use high voltage batteries 48-60v……basically only needs 25% of the copper used in a current electric car. As battery tech allows higher voltage batteries demand will further reduce.

oh, and let’s not forget the developments they are now working on for charge stations……basically large batteries that get charged throughout the day so lower network peak draw, meaning smaller wires, meaning copper demand reduces.

Many here only look at old ways of doing things being the driver for demand……new tech will reduce demand
