Good morning all, I've found an interesting article on a private explorer (no cross promotion here as they're not publicly listed) with exciting news on their tenements in the Mt Isa Inlier (where our Tick Hill and Duchess Copper projects are also located).

    Some highlights:

Transition Resources says it has ‘hit the jackpot’ near Cloncurry, identifying a multi-billion-tonne, gold-rich mineral system in its tenements.

The new discovery is a game-changer for the company and believed it would drive a new exploration focus in the Cloncurry district. The company has completed about 40 reverse circulation drill holes at the location in the past two and a half months. Assay results are still coming in, but early results included a hole intersecting 8m at 6.13 g/t gold and 6345ppm tungsten oxide (from 23m), including a high grade zone of 5m at 9.73 g/t gold and 10,154ppm tungsten oxide. The system was more than 21km long and 300m-500m wide, and it was unknown how deep it extended.

    From their website:

The Cloncurry region is attracting renewed interest on the back of new expert geological interpretations that offer alternative depositional models, with links to Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill deposits and potential game-changing discovery opportunities.

Recent expert reports are suggesting that Co-Cu-Au-REE mineralisation in the Cloncurry district was caused by post-tectonic mantle plume magmatism between 1590 and 1480 million years ago. This caused Australia to break away from western North America when the supercontinent (termed Columbia) broke up. Mineral deposits, for example, at Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill (SA), Starra, Ernest Henry (Qld) and in the Idaho Cobalt Belt (USA), all formed during this event.

Many previously overlooked areas have now become fertile ground for new Tier One focused exploration activity.
