I have been avoiding this bear market rally for reasons such as this.
Toss in Citi and the others.
China electricity demand (the nearest things you get to a real economic indicator out of that country the way they fudge the figures) has declined month on month for past few months.
Plenty of metal available in the LME warehouses.
Western world economies still in administration.
Cannot see any real need to be active on the buy side subject to the occassional special situation.
As for conspiracy theorists, was the swine flu just a pump by the American banks PR hacks to get them off the front pages of the press for a while?LOL
