Thought worthwhile to start a new thread for CNG as this have not been discussed before. The news article that appeared in the weekend edition of The Australian states that southern states will be running out of gas due to closure of gas Bass Straits production from 2023 onwards. There is not sufficient gas even if Narrabri comes on stream and replacement will need to be ship from Queensland Gladstone LNG plants. Apparently there are already 5 import plants proposed and it highlighted the high cost of liquefaction. Strong potential for GEV CNG at our own doorsteps?
