"Well ychrom your average beloved hot rock companies are trading around 0.80-1.80 and with the problems they still face id say cnm is greatly under valued."
It is really comments like this that make me laugh. I think I'm talking to kids, but I remind myself that you have to be over 18 to trade.
You can't compare the value of a company by it's share price. The actual value, or market capitalisation is a factor of the share price multiplied by the number of shares issued. So just because one company has shares trading at 10c, and the other 20 doesn't mean the 2nd is double the value of the first.
Now considering you have made the statement, lets examine the market capitalization of the hot rock hot companies.
Code No. Shares Price Market Cap
HRL 24,360,002 0.16 $3,897,600
GRK 159,689,715 0.105 $16,767,420
KEN 53,263,119 0.32 $17,044,198
TEY 36,609,999 0.565 $20,684,649
PAX 110,000,000 0.24 $26,400,000
GHT 33,000,000 1.01 $33,330,000
EDE 108,123,175 0.46 $49,736,661
PTR 57,874,626 1.05 $60,768,357
GDY 186,426,892 1.87 $348,618,288
You can see they range from $3.8 million to $348 million. You use the words "average beloved hot rock companies", so lets take the average - $64.134 million. (Really GDY is probably considered a statistical anomaly, but you did say average and not trim mean)
Now for the $64.134 million dollar question (o.k., I think that should be $64k), what is CNM worth?
CNM 443,738,535 0.365 $161,964,565
CNM 443,738,535 0.485 $215,213,189
At Today's close, it is worth a whooping $161 million, or about 2.5x the average Hot Rock company.
But the SP has been falling, in fact it's down 32% from it's giddy heights. If we take the peak, CNM was worth $215 million or 3.35 times more than the average Hot Rock company.
Now for the cruncher, if share prices can be compared 1:1, lets try "around 0.80-1.80"
CNM 443,738,535 0.8 $354,990,828
CNM 443,738,535 1.8 $798,729,363
An even better exercise is to get a copy of a share magazine that has tables of companies in order of market cap, and compare other companies with that of CNM's market cap.
But don't forget the more important comparison of the economics . . We are only looking at Market Cap.
oh, and when you say they are worth more than GDY, don't expect a reply.
