With the footy season over and the election season beginning (poor substitute I know), I'm up for a tipping comp to pass the time.

I reckon we should have a stab at guessing the date the first CETO site will be announced and how much the share price will go up (its peak price within, say, two weeks after the announcement).

Carnegie keep saying it will be before the end of the year so I guess that's the limit.

So to start the ball rolling, I reckon it will be Nov 12th and the price will get to 50 cents.

Why? I think it will come before the election on 24th November, rather than after it. Firstly the federal government gave CNM $775,000 a while ago to help develop CETO so they can claim to have had a hand in it from the beginning. It makes them look proactive in terms of two big issues - climate change and water shortages. The more green cred they can get prior to the election, the better.

Why 12th Nov? No reason. It's just a guess. I dont think anything will happen until the share offer is finalised on 1 Nov and my date is just a stab in the dark for the fun of it.

Why 50 cents? Again, i didn't stay up late pouring over charts or balance sheets (i wouldn't know how to anyway). Basically, no reason, it just feels reasonable given the current price.

So friends and freaks, you're all welcome. Join the tipping comp. It's free, easy and blind stabs in the dark (like mine) are just as welcome as well thought out analysis (i would love to hear from anyone who actually had a good technical or other reason for guessing the share price).

The winner gets all our admiration for being so clever.
