Alot of students I am with at Uni especially the Asians are ramping their future finance careers on the basis of being the vanguard of fund managers and wholesale money men who turned the corner on oil. Nobody with any view on future trends and wanting to be long in the markets of tomorrow is looking at oil.
One guy even reckons Giant Blimps will replace Air Cargo and carry thousands of tonnes of freight about a hundred metres above the sea fueled by natural gas turbines. Star Wars stuff but how long will bananas stay popular at $30 plus per kilo in the EU when jet fuel costs almost half a million dollars a freighter flight?
