Very thoughtful post, Slugstock. I welcome other views - especially when they are as informative as yours usually are.
It's certainly a different way of looking at this. When a company makes a placement like this we assume it's because THEY are the ones chasing the funds. How often does it happen that companies are the chasee's - the ones being OFFERED funds because they are so hot that others want in?
Did a group of investors who are anxious to invest in likely junior uranium companies approach Paterson's to request a special deal on a block of shares in unx?
The question has to be asked - if they wanted in, why not just buy the shares on the open market? The reply, of course, is to get that many shares, they really would have had to pay a lot more as their bids would have driven up the share price.
Sorry, as you can see, I'm having this little debate with myself. If you are correct, then unx is more than just hot. Is unx so hot that investors would offer $12.3 million to get in? And ASK for the placement? Please take my money so I can be a part of this??!!
Be still my heart!!
Oh Sluggo, I hope you're right!
I'll have the red Ferrari on the right, please. Ta.
Interesting post, Slugs...
