I was surprised by the result today. I thought it would open roughly where it did, however I would have thought it would have stayed around that level for longer than it did.

I am of the opinion that the market had factored the news of yesterday in. For the past couple of weeks, most of the posts on here were essentially saying it was a slam dunk that the extension would be granted (many referred to December). That is why I thought the open would be roughly where it was, but I would have thought the certainty would have pushed it up a bit more than it did.

In the coming week I think it will return to the peak of today (and hopefully beyond). I cant see it going much beyond that until there is some news of sales.

Further I think any talk of dividends is way to premature. If I was one of the lenders and I heard Centro talking about implementing a dividend payment anytime soon...there would be no extension.
